Functional Microscopy

Equipments: Leica TCS SP5 Microscope Microscope, equipped with 2 lasers, live cell observation chamber and biomolecule functional imaging software.
Supported Technologies: Confocal Microscopy, Fluorescence Microscopy, 3D-Reconstruction, Fluorescence Recovery After Photobleaching (FRAP), Fluorescence Loss in Photobleaching (FLIP), Förster Resonance Energy Transfer (FRET).
Applications: Co-localization of multiple biomolecules in cells and tissues, functional microscopy, determination of protein interactions and modifications in living cells, analysis of stem cells, functional characterization of medicinal substances.
Microarray Analysis
Coordinator: Konstantinos Stathopoulos, Professor, cstath@med.upatras.gr
Equipments: ScanArray Express Scanner (Perkin Elmer), HybArray12 Hybridizer (Perkin Elmer), Bioanalyser 2100 (Agilent).
Supported Technologies: Microarray Analysis, Microanalysis.
Applications: Determination of large-scale gene expression, Genotyping, SNP analysis.
RealTime PCR

Equipments: LightCycler 2.0 (Roche).
Supported Technologies: Quantitative PCR.
Applications: Determination of gene expression, Genotyping, pathogen detection.
Phosphorimager
Coordinator: Dionisis Drainas, Professor, drainas@med.upatras.gr
Equipments: Fuji FLA3000
Supported Technologies: Imaging, quantification and analysis of samples by fluorescence, chemiluminescence, chemiluminescence, radioisotopes (32P, 35S, 14C, 3H, 125I) and analysis of monochromatic and color samples.
Applications: Detection and quantification of nucleic acids and proteins.
Ultracentrifuge
