The purpose of the course is the preparation of an experimental thesis. As part of the course, postgraduate students are asked to select a research topic and a supervising faculty member for the preparation of an experimental thesis. The resulting research results are presented in the form of a thesis submitted to the Department, presented orally by the candidate and evaluated by a three-member examination committee.

Particular emphasis is placed on the formulation of a scientific question, the organization of the methodological approach for its solution, the analysis and interpretation of the results as well as their inclusion/discussion with the wider literature.
