Pharmacology-Toxicology

Coordinator: Professor Kyriakos Kypreos, (kkypreos@med.upatras.gr)

Presumably, one of the main objectives of modern biomedical research is to clarify the role of various biological molecules in the various biochemical processes and the emergence of new pharmacological targets for the design of innovative pharmacological interventions. In this context, the aim of the course for the graduate students is the problem based learning, the processes that allow the identification of the potential Pharmacological target, the rational design of active ingredients against this target, and finally the evaluation of their pharmacological value; initially with preclinical studies in the laboratory and afterwards with clinical studies.
